70% of New Mexicans 16+ have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 62% of New Mexicans 16+ have completed their vaccination series
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday that the state has reached the significant milestone of administering at least one COVID vaccine dose to 70.7% of New Mexicans 16 years of age and older.
“After hitting our 60% goal, we continue to make steady progress. Thank you to every New Mexican for getting your shots – and for protecting yourselves and your loved ones,” said DOH Cabinet Secretary Dr. Tracie Collins.

New Mexicans who are at least 18 years old and who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination may opt in to the state’s Vax 2 the Max sweepstakes at vax2themaxNM.org. To be eligible for the $5 million grand prize, New Mexicans must have completed their vaccination series. The rules and regulations of the sweepstakes are available here.
